Economic migration is a prevalent issue in Poland. Many individuals migrate to countries like England and Germany, where they can earn higher salaries for manual work compared to what they would earn after graduating in Poland. In my community, it's common for a family member to migrate to Germany to work as a construction worker or a caretaker. I've encountered numerous retired women who fall within the 'caretaker group.' They often travel across the border, primarily to Germany, to reside with and care for elderly individuals in their 80s and 90s. It's essential for these caretakers to be available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. They must remain vigilant at all times, providing undivided attention to their employers. For instance, if the elderly person falls out of bed, the caretaker needs to promptly offer assistance or contact the necessary services.
